Your defensive guide to online threats
At Ya Poker, ensuring our players are protected is what matters most. To help you stay out of harm’s way online, we’re providing you with valuable tips. Take a moment to read these tips and keep them handy so you can protect yourself online.
Always be vigilant
Keeping your account secure at Ya Poker is straightforward with our advice. Follow these easy steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable gaming environment.
Watch out for phishing emails. Phishing attempts could come from misleading email addresses that look surprisingly legitimate, such as official-looking variations like official.poker@wpnnetwork or WPNsupport@winnningpokers.com. Familiarize yourself with the list of our verified email addresses provided below.
See if your email address has been compromised. Use https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to find out if your email address has been subject to a breach. A compromised account is a sign you should change your email address.
Guard against social engineering. Be mindful about what you share publicly. Dishonest individuals might use the information you post on Discord, forums and elsewhere online to gain your trust and fool you into providing personal information.
Be cautious about P2P exchanges. There’s a risk that your private details, such as your email address, could be exploited by others following P2P interactions in the poker community. Take extra care to avoid being deceived.
Defend yourself
Turn on 2FA. Ensure you’re the only one accessing your account by enabling Two-Factor Authentication, available in the Poker Lobby via Settings >> 2FA.
Use a strong password. Use a mix of random letters, numbers, and symbols for your password, and consider password generators for maximum security.
Change your email address. A new email address can serve as a defense line if there’s been a breach on your account.
